Axcess Diagnostics is proud to announce that we are the first Outpatient Imaging Center in Florida to have been accredited by the Accreditation Association for Ambulatory Health Care (AAAHC). Not only have we received this very prestigious nationally recognized certification but we are accredited for 3 years rather than the 1 year year term that is more typical.
Accreditation is a voluntary process through which an organization is able to measure the quality of its services and performance against nationally recognized standards. The accreditation process involves self-assessment by the organization, as well as a thorough review by the Accreditation Association's expert surveyors, who themselves have extensive experience in the ambulatory health care environment.
We voluntarily submitted to the rigorous scrutiny of a nationally recognized third party to insure we meet the highest standards. Accreditation underscores our long-standing commitment to providing the highest possible levels of quality care to our Florida communities, and reinforces our commitment to our patients, physicians and staff. With AAAHC accreditation, we demonstrate our dedication to critically evaluate our own performance and convey an extra measure of confidence in our services.
Health care organizations seeking accreditation by AAAHC undergo an extensive on-site, peer-based survey of its facilities and services. The process includes the close inspection of areas such as the Rights of Patients, Governance, Quality of Care, Quality Improvement, Clinical Records, Surgical Services, Laboratory Services, Occupational Health Services, Professional Improvement and many others. AAAHC is a not-for profit organization that has worked diligently for over 23 years to develop appropriate standards against which our performance is measured. I want to personally congratulate the staff at Axcess Diagnostics. Our accreditation was not based solely on our state of the art equipment, our attractive centers, or our locations. This was a direct reflection of the excellence each of our staff members show everyday in the way they treat our referring physicians and their staffs, our patients, our patient’s imaging, and each other.
