Dr. Roca attended Ponce School of Medicine in Ponce, Puerto Rico.  She completed her medical degree at Downstate Medical Center at The State University of New York Health Sciences Center in Brooklyn, New York.  She also completed an internal medicine internship and her diagnostic radiology residency at State University of New York Health Sciences Center in Brooklyn, New York.  She is board certified by the American College of Radiology.  She has specialized in cross-sectional imaging including CT, MRI, US and PET/CT imaging and also has a special interest in women's imaging. 



Michael Thorpe M.D., Musculoskeletal Radiologist
Board Certified in Diagnostic Radiology with a Musculoskeletal Fellowship
Dr Thorpe completed his undergraduate and Doctorate degree at the University of Florida achieving honors in both programs. He did his residency in Radiology at The University of Miami School of Medicine. His MSK fellowship training was done at The Hospital for Special Surgery in New York, New York through the Cornell University School of Medicine. Dr Thorpe has served as the Director of Sports Medicine Imaging and MSK MRI for Doctors Hospital (Miami) since 1997 and as the Medical Director for Radiology since 2002. He has read an average of 10,000 MRI procedures per year exclusively in the field of MSK for the last 8 years.


Gerald Grubbs M.D., Director of Sarasota Interventional Radiology
Board Certified in Interventional Radiology
Dr Grubbs attended the University of Tennessee for both his undergraduate and graduate degrees. He completed his residency in diagnostic radiology while at Tennessee and his fellowship in interventional radiology at the Miami Cardiac and Vascular Institute. Dr. Grubbs has practiced in Naples Florida for the past nine years serving as the director of the non-invasive vascular laboratory the past 6 years. His clinical expertise includes carotid artery stenting, cardiac MRI, acute interventional stroke therapy and interventional oncologic medical therapy. Dr Grubbs lives with his wife and two sons in Sarasota.
