Advanced Technology

The first pillar of Diagnostic Imaging Excellence is Advanced Technology. Great images come from the latest and most technologically advanced MRI, CT, and PET scanners. Five years ago, Axcess introduced the first 16 slice CT scanner on the West coast of Florida creating images that, because of their ability to look at the body in true 3 dimensions, will help thousands of patients. We have installed the first Philips 3 Tesla Ultra High Field MRI in the state! Our commitment to keep the communities we serve with access to this Advanced Technology is one of our core values!

    MRI/MRA

    Philips Intera 1.5 Tesla
SmartExam: Fully automated planning, scanning & processing with a single mouse click. Reproducible scan quality: any patient position, any operator, any day. Increases operator efficiency by 30%. Outstanding speed and resolution for every clinical application. More acceleration, more coils

    Philips Achieva 3.0 Tesla
Powered by FreeWave: With the power of FreeWave, Achieva delivers unprecedented levels of clinical functionality with innovations such as 4D-TRAK, k-t –BLAST, 2k Imaging.  The most open 3.0T.  Maximum patient comfort.  The most compact whole-body 3.0T MRI.

    Open MRI

    Philips Panorama 1.0 (Open MRI)
Wide Open Patient Comfort: 3 times more patient space than cylindrical high field.  High Field Performance.  Solenoid Technology Coils provide more SNR, more coverage & more comfort. Optimal soft tissue contrast.

    CT/CTA

Brilliance 64 Channel The Brilliance 64-channel configuration breaks through previous boundaries in CT imaging, providing large volume, thin-slice coverage to improve diagnostic confidence, image quality and productivity.

With 40mm of thin-slice coverage, the 64-channel broadens horizons in cardiac imaging, allowing for unprecedented coronary artery evaluation. The 64-channel configuration also provides breakthrough performance in advanced  pulmonary imaging, multi-organ trauma evaluation and low-dose pediatric applications to boost your clinical capabilities to the highest level attainable.

    Brilliance CT 16-slice
When it comes to performing more routine applications, the Brilliance CT 16-slice configuration puts your patients first. Besides providing high confidence during routine studies, the 16-slice configuration provides a greater volume of coverage, enabling users to perform advanced motion-sensitive applications such as pulmonary and short breath-hold cardiac studies.

    PET &
    Open PET

ALLEGRO- Setting new standards in imaging performance
The ALLEGRO is built to meet the demands of image quality and increased performance required by today’s clinical and research institutions. 3D Advantage: 3D acquisition and 3D RAMLA reconstruction of image data. Excellent image quality with less dose and shorter imaging time.

    GEMINI
is the world’s first and only open PET/CT.
This open design improves patient comfort by reducing the claustophobic effect associated with a long tunnel. The GEMINI offers flexibility across diagnostic and treatment planning applications. Easy access to the patient also improves the ability to perform interventional procedures.

    Digital Ultrasound

Philips HDI 5000 This new system is more powerful than ever. With a significant increase in processing power, system response is twice as fast with mode switching in half the time. This increased capability is designed for the latest generation of SonoCT and XRES imaging.

Zonare Taking Ultrasound to a whole new place. The revolutionary new approach behind Zone Sonography™ will change the way you look at medical ultrasound forever. With conventional ultrasound systems, information is obtained by sending and receiving hundreds of narrow "lines" to form an image. Zone Sonography™, on the other hand, acquires imaging information in a relatively few large "zones". By gathering these large amounts of data very quickly - in much the same way that a photographic flash blankets areas - many of the physical limitations which previously restricted ultrasound performance are no longer factors.

    Breast MRI

Philips Bilateral Breast coil.  Breast MRI uses Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) to look specifically at the breast. It is a non-invasive procedure that doctors can use to determine what the inside of the breast looks like without having to do surgery or flatten the breast (as in a mammogram).

Dedicated coil allows imaging of both breasts simultaneously with high homogeneity. Design allows quick and easy set-up for shorter examinations.  Applications: bilateral breast imaging, contrast enhanced dynamic breast studies.

    Digital Mammography

    Senographe DS
Introduced in 2004, the Senographe DS is a full field digital mammography system, featuring the breakthrough Revolution digital detector for outstanding image quality.  And Premium View provides even more detail throughout the entire breast.  Advanced ergonomic design makes the system the preferred choice for both patients and technologists.

    3D Reconstruction

Using advanced computer software to create a (3D) 3 dimensional, or (4D) 4 dimensional with skin layers as reference points, view of CT and CTA scan results.  This method can aid in better visualization of problem areas because animation can be used to rotate the view from multiple angles.

Color can be added to emphasize areas of interest.  Tissue density can be allowed for, and subtracted from the images, to make for clear visualization of tumors, bone or vascular areas.

Axcess Diagnostics seeks out innovative, efficient technologies and prides itself on working with leading edge companies.  Our 3D visualization technologies come from Vital Images, TeraRecon, and Confirma CADstream™ providing the most advanced diagnostics images possible.

    Digital X-Ray

Digital Plain Film X-Ray allow our Radiologist to collect X-Ray images electronically, then view and manipulate the images on a computer screen, improving diagnosis. Better and faster image information. The overriding advantage of digital technology is that digital images offer consistently excellent image quality at a lower dose. No retakes necessary. All images are immediately available and a whole range of digital image processing possibilities resulting in the highest quality.
